About Susan and Detta

Susan Wranik, President

Susan is a linguist and board-certified speech-language pathologist with over 30 years experience in the field of communication. An interpreter/translator, she has provided services to both National Geographic and the Smithsonian where she developed and taught a program on conversational Italian for travelers in the Resident Associates Program. She earned undergraduate and graduate degrees at Georgetown University and a Masters in Speech-Language Pathology at The George Washington University. She has done independent postgraduate work at The Middle East Institute, L'Università Italiana per Stranieri in Italy, and Harvard University.

Detta Voesar, Vice President

Detta specialized in commercial banking policy research at the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation. During her tenure there she also served as liaison to the Neighborhood Reinvestment Corporation and pioneered the formation of an international association for deposit insurers. A native of Europe, she attended Arcadia University and received undergraduate and graduate degrees from the Elliott School of International Affairs at The George Washington University.

Together, with a combined experience in ten languages, they form Susan I. Wranik Associates, L.L.C., blending linguistic, cultural, and medical expertise to provide unique services in the field of communication skills enhancement…helping people speak so others listen.
